THE WEBSITE
This website is about the history, flora and fauna of Berengrave Local Nature Reserve.
In the early 20th century the area was one of chalk quarrying and cement manufacture. For this reason, we have included sections on chalk, cement production and the history of cement.
We hope you will find this website interesting and that it will encourage you to visit the reserve and, possibly, to join Friends of Berengrave and support us in our efforts.
